The recent hit game after the ban of PUBG in India is Among Us. This game has increasing players from a few weeks which makes the company think about some updates to the game. The game is a cross-platform online multiplayer game. This means you can play with friends or strangers on other platforms at the same time. The party survival game has got a Beta update in with some new features.
Among Us game developers Innersloth has even canceled the Among Us 2. Instead, the company wants to implement all the features planned for Among Us 2 to the original Among Us 1. This move was taken due to the recent spike in popularity for the game. The game has 41 million downloads only in the month of September.
There are no official update notes by the company. But some of the players have a list of some new features that are available after the Beta update. The unofficial patch notes of the October Beta update by attackofthefanboy.com are:
- Colorblind Support
- Anonymous Votes
- Task Bar Updates
The main feature this update brought up was the colorblind support. The wire task now not only has colors also has different shapes. This helps gamers with color blind to recognize the matching wire. This feature was the most requested and has been implemented in a good manner.
Another interesting feature is Anonymous Votes. This lets you vote the imposter in the emergency meetings without revealing yourself. The Task Bar update makes the taskbar to appear only at the “Meetings” or “Never”. Although these controls all are with the server creator. The hiding of the Task Bar gives the imposters chance to cheat you can’t tell how many tasks are still remaining. Innersloth also considers some other major changes like making dead players into guardian angels and give them some more tasks.
How to get the Beta Version/Update:
The Beta version of the game is currently limited to only the PC version. In order for you to get the Beta version go to your Steam Library and right-click on the game. Now go to Properties and open the Betas tab. In the Beta, drop-down menu and select the public beta. Now the Beta version will be downloaded into your system. You can get the game in the Steam store for Rs.199. The game is available for free in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
