Apex Legends has been the greatest hit and with over 100 million unique players. In May, it recorded around 300k players playing the game concurrently on Steam. But recently, the issues in Titanfall games are also affecting Apex Legends. The hacker issues have been at rise in Titanfall1, and due to that, players feel it unplayable. A hacker hacked the Apex Legends, as both belong to Respawn Entertainment Studio, and showcased Save Titanfall messages and the savetitanfall.com website.
The game modes in Apex Legends were completely unplayable during the hack. You just couldn’t see any other game mode but one which is SAVETITANFALL.COM. Even if you somehow entered the game by switching the servers, it’ll be the same after completing that game. In addition, there is an “Important Message” popped up when entering the lobby. It reads, “Visit and repost savetitanfall.com.”
The savetitanfall.com website reads, “Titanfall is a beloved franchise by many, and hacker issues have been at rise. The Titanfall community has been begging Respawn to fix this issue for over three years, but to no avail. Today this game is still being sold, while being completely unplayable. It’s time we speak up.”
Respawn finally fixed it
Respawn has confirmed that the hack issues in Apex Legends are fixed, and the matchmaking has been restored. In the meantime, Respawn also confirmed the “attack—while disruptive—has not put players’ personal information or accounts at risk.”
We’re testing a fix now and will update when we have more confidence. Additional updates may be required.
In the meantime, we’ve determined that this attack—while disruptive—has not put players’ personal information or accounts at risk. More updates to come as we make progress.
