Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, one of the most awaited video game titles of 2020. It recently hit almost all the consoles, PC, and cloud gaming platforms. November 10 was its initial release date; and all the gamers around the world had tested its benchmarks and optimization. Walkthroughs are already up on YouTube. The strange thing is the PC optimization, well that’s not strange actually; Ubisoft has a pretty good reputation for bad PC optimization.
A Russian Youtube channel ‘GameGPU’ had uploaded a video testing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, playing on his blue beast Core i9 10900K and GEFORCE RTX 3090. He played it on 4K with ultra settings and tested the FPS. The frames barely touched 60 averaging at 56FPS. For instance, they even dropped to 40FPS and below in some scenes. There is no doubt that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the most graphic-intensive game of 2020. But, if a $1500 (Revised price in India: 1.33L INR ) graphic card is not enough to play the game at stable 60 FPS, then what else can?
It is RTX 3090, the Nividia’s top-tier GPU, and failed to keep the game at stable 60FPS. Here the 9-minute gameplay video on Core i9 10900K and GEFORCE RTX 3090 at 4K.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla PC Specs Requirements
Ubisoft’s PC specs show that it can run on 4K with RTX 2080 but at 30FPS, it didn’t showcase any spec requirements for 4K at 60 FPS.
However, it can run smoothly at 30FPS with just having RTX 2080 as they officially recommend. And they can just fix and optimize the game even better in upcoming patches. It’s just an initial release, so there’s no surprise that it is not optimized well.
The game is releasing for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and also for cloud gaming platforms Stadia and Luna. For PC, it is available to purchase on the Epic Games store. The Standard Edition starts from $43.99 and goes up to $87.99 for Ultimate Edition. The Season Pass is not included in Standard Edition which costs an extra $29.99 as an Add-on.
