In the world of delayed games, yet another high-profile video game is delayed. Dying Light 2 Stay Human previously announced the release date as December 7, 2021, but now the date moved to 2022. Developer Techland released a statement with the reason for the delay and the new release date of February 4, 2022.
The company said the game is complete and currently under playtesting. Explaining the delay, they said they will “bring the game to the level we envision.” And the team needs more time to polish and optimize it.
“We are sorry to keep you all waiting a little longer,” read the statement. Furthermore, in the statement, “But we want the game to meet your highest expectations on release, and we don’t want to compromise on this.”
However, the company doesn’t want us to wait much longer to see the actual gameplay. Techland mentioned inviting press and content creators next month to play the game and share their experiences. The company also said that the studio would have some exciting news to reveal later this month.
Feb 2022 is already the month of massive releases. Most of the delayed games moved their release date to Feb 2022. With Dying Light 2 release delay, Horizon: Forbidden West, The King of Fighters XV, and Sifu are also coming in February 2022. Destiny 2’s Witch Queen expansion and the Saints Row reboot are also coming in the same month. Keep up all your savings.
