Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 5 is known as the “zero point”, that involves hunters from different realities joining forces to fight something called “The loop“. These new hunters include Mancake the fighting Flapjack, Mave the shapeshifter, and Mandalorian accompanied by Baby Yoda.
The previous season has the theme of Marvel. The in-game event (Galactus) to end the season has a record of 15.3 million concurrent players. This is the first season to have those many concurrent players. Season 5 not only brings new characters but also some original and some from different realities.
All those who purchase the season’s battle pass will be able to unlock some characters. These characters include an ancient warrior and a sci-fi hunter. Apart from the characters, there are some more new things to look at. This season brings new weapons that include dragon’s breathe shotgun, Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle, Night Hawk, and much more. Not to mention the new locations that include a jungle area and a sci-fi desert. The biggest change apart from those in the game is a quest structure. Let us see it from Epic’s description:
Help for Hire
As a hunter, it’s your duty to help the Island’s characters in their unstable new reality. Take on their quests and bounties, get intel on your surroundings, or hire them to be your ally. Don’t want to negotiate? Challenge them to a duel and reap the rewards.
Spend your wages
The new characters only accept one form of payment: bars! Earn bars by completing quests and bounties, eliminating players, or finding hidden stashes around the Island. Spend your earned bars on new exotic weapons, upgrades, intel, services, and more.
Epic also states there will be more hunters from other realities coming later this season.
