Netflix is expanding its gaming service “Netflix Games” to global users after testing in Poland, Italy, and Spain. Starting from today, November 3, Netflix rollout its games to Android users around the world. For iOS users, it will roll out at some point later. You can access Netflix games with a subscription at no extra cost.
There are five games available at launch, including Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game from developer BonusXP, Shooting Hoops and Teeter Up from Frosty Pop, and Card Blast from Amuzo and Rogue Games. Although the collection of games at launch is limited, Netflix is working on it to build a library of games. For now, these games are available on Play Store and in near future, the Netflix app will dedicate a separate tab for Games. Check out the games’ Play Store links below:
“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone. We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us,” Netflix’s Mike Verdu said in a blog post.
Netflix claims that the games are playable on multiple devices with the same account. However, these games are not meant for kids so they are not available on kids’ profiles. Also, they added that whichever profile has a PIN set up, Netflix requires that PIN to start the game.
