As Niantic decided to make changes in pandemic-related bonuses of Pokemon GO, the company announced its new update plans. The pandemic-related bonuses are already undergoing changes. Meanwhile, we heard about the situation of fans’ outcry. They wrote a letter to Niantic, and the company later responded to the letter so positively. It is an ongoing situation, and Niantic issued an update stating it’ll be regulating bonuses worldwide. Some bonuses have been removed from the US and New Zealand, some bonuses have been added for all other regions.
After fans’ outcry in early August due to changes made by Niantic, the company reverted the changes. Niantic also promised an internal task force would review further changes. They said they’ll do discussions within the team and with community leaders out there to bring the best to players.
The task force completed its job now, and the outcome is to standardize the bonuses across the countries.
