PUBG: Battlegrounds PC version will be free to play from January

One of the most famous battle royale games is PUBG. The game is available on almost all platforms, from gaming consoles to Mobile. There is no crossplay between consoles, PC, and mobile versions. The Mobile version has recently got another game, PUBG: New State, based on the future. Until now, PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC has been a paid version of the game, but starting from January, it will be free to play for everyone.

Krafton Inc announced this news in The Game Awards. The free version of the game will be going live on January 12th, 2022. Players will also be getting many rewards for joining the game and from the already present players.

There is nothing to feel for the players that have bought the game. Krafton is also adding a Battlegrounds Plus subscription with special items for them. The users who have already paid will get a free commemorative pack, a free upgrade to Battlegrounds Plus, and extra in-game rewards.

There is nothing for the paid players to do it will automatically convert their accounts once the free-to-play is launched. The in-game rewards include Shackle and Shanks Legacy Pan, Nameplate – Battle-hardened Legacy, and some costume skin sets.

The free-to-play PUBG: Battlegrounds will be available on Steam, Stadia, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. The subscription will cost $12.99 (nearly Rs. 983), which will also give you some special in-game rewards. You can register yourself before January 11th to get these rewards. Krafton also announced a few events before the free version is live. It announced a total of three events in which you require to register for the first event using their Krafton ID.
