Sony announced that PS5 will be coming with entertainment apps such as Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Apple TV+, Disney+, and Twitch. Globally, the launch date is November 12, 2020, except for India. The trademark issues are still on the pitch and Sony will announce the date anytime soon (Let’s just assume).
According to PlayStation.Blog, these apps are pre-installed on PS5 and it will also get additional entertainment apps in the future like Amazon Prime, Hulu, and more.
As Sony unveiled the tour of PS5 User Experience, there will be a dedicated space exclusively for media entertainment. It is just next to the Game home screen; users can switch between the Game and Media screens whenever they want, with ease.
There is no need for downloading the apps from the PS Store as there exists dedicated Game and Media screens. Also, the revamped Control Center helps you control music easier.
The PS5 also launches with a dedicated remote control, especially for media entertainment. It provides convenient navigation and experience across the media screen in PlayStation 5. Users can turn on PS5, quickly navigate around, play/pause, fast forward, and fast reverse with this remote control. It can also adjust the volume and power settings of some compatible TVs.
This remote control features dedicated buttons for apps such as Netflix, Spotify, Disney+, and YouTube.
