Pokemon GO 2nd Community Day in January 2022 features Bulbasaur

Niantic is bringing a second Community Day for January 2022 to Pokemon GO. The January Community Day Classic features Bulbasaur, the Grass- and Poison-type starter Pokémon. Yeah, Niantic is bringing back the Bulbasaur Community Day; that’s why they call it a Community Day Classic. It’s an excellent chance for trainers to catch a Shiny Bulbasaur as the chances are high on a Community Day. They can also evolve it to learn the event-exclusive move and take advantage of in-game bonuses. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.

Date + Time

Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM [local time].

It is a three-hour time frame. But, you can still get an exclusive move with evolution until up to two hours afterwards, that is 7:00 PM [local time].

The Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon Bulbasaur is the featured Pokémon of the January 2022 Community Day Classic. Bulbasaur will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Bulbasaur ✨. It’s an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch better and/or Shiny Bulbasaur.

Exclusive Move

If you evolve Ivysaur (Bulbasaur’s Evolution) into Venusaur in the event time or up to two hours afterwards, the Pokémon evolves knowing the Ultimate Charged Grass-type Exclusive Move – Frenzy Plant.

Pokemon GO Bulbasaur Community Day Classic Special Research

On this month’s Community Day Classic, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called “Bulbasaur Community Day Classic”. Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1.

Other Bonuses

In addition to Bulbasaur’s frequent encounters, Niantic will be bringing a few more bonuses too.

Additionally, there’ll be a one-time purchase of the Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins. That includes 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Star Pieces, 5 Lucky Eggs, and an Elite Charged TM.
