Galarian Slowpoke makes its debut appearance in Pokemon GO, and Niantic is celebrating it with a slowpoke-themed event called A Very Slow Discovery. Along with Galarian Slowpoke, the Mega evolution of Slowbro is also making its debut and will appear in Mega raids in Pokemon GO during the event. And there are other bonuses too, so for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.

You might find the Pokémon marked as Rare in the wild if you’re lucky.
How to evolve Galarian Slowpoke?
To evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro, you need to complete a task of catching 30 Poison-type Pokémon when it’s your buddy. Of course, you need 50 candies too.
You cannot evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking yet. But Niantic says, “its arrival might be quite…slow.” We can expect Galarian Slowking’s evolution soon in the coming days.

Other Bonuses
Event-exclusive Field Research tasks are available to collect. They will be difficult, and completing them gets you “very slow rewards,” including Slowbro Mega Energy.
A Slowpoke-themed Collection Challenge will be available during the event. Complete it to get the exclusive Slowpoke Forever Shirt avatar item, 30 Ultra Balls, and 3,000 XP.
Slowpoke-inspired avatar items will be available to pick up in the shop. Slowpoke-themed Gift stickers can be found while spinning PokéStops and gifting friends.
Niantic also gives away an event-exclusive free box in the shop containing 20 Poké Balls, 10 Great Balls, and a King’s Rock. Refer to the official blog post for more info. Utilize the event and hope you Catch ‘em All.
