Niantic is bringing an Electric-type-themed event next week, which adds new Pokémon and Mega Evolution of Manectric. Pokémon GO also adds Therian Forme Thundurus for the first time during this event. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.

Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Monday, March 22, 2021 at 8:00 PM [local time].
Featured Pokémon
During the event, the following Electric-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Tynamo (First appearance in Pokémon GO)
- Alolan Geodude
- Voltorb
- Electrike
- Stunfisk, and more
Egg Hatches
The following Electric-type Pokémon will be hatching from 5 km Eggs that are collected during the event time-frame:
- Pichu
- Elekid
- Electrike
- Shinx
- Joltik
- Tynamo
- Stunfisk
Event-exclusive Field Research and Timed Research
Niantic will make event-exclusive Field and Timed Research tasks available for a limited time. By completing these, you will get rewards like extra PokéBalls and Mega Energy for Manectric and Ampharos.
Timed Research tasks will be focusing mainly on evolving and powering up Electric-type Pokémon.
