Niantic is bringing yet another Community Day for August to Pokemon GO. The Pokemon GO August Community Day features Eevee, an Evolution Pokémon. Unlike other Community Days, this one is a 2-two event. It’s a great chance for trainers to catch a Shiny Eevee(s) as the chances are high on Community Days. They can also evolve it to learn event-exclusive moves and take advantage of in-game bonuses; some stay for four days. Let’s break it down. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.
Date + Time
Saturday, August 14, 2021, and Sunday, August 15, 2021.
From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on each day [local time].
There are Other Bonuses and Event-exclusive moves that you can take advantage of in a four-day time frame. You’ll find it at the end of the article.
Featured Pokémon
The Normal-type Pokémon Eevee is the featured Pokémon of August’s Community Day. Eevee will appear more frequently in the wild in the event time frame. If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Eevee✨. It’s a great opportunity for trainers to catch and fill their Pokédex with Shiny Eevee evolutions.
Pokémon GO Eevee Community Day Special Research
On this month’s Community Day, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called ‘What You Choose to Be.’ Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).
Bonuses in event-time frame
The below bonuses will stay active only during the Eevee Community Day hours, which is mentioned above under Date + Time.
- Eggs will require a quarter the hatch distance than their usual.
- The incense you use during the event will remain active for three hours rather than the usual one hour.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will also last for three hours.
Event-exclusive moves and Other Bonuses
The below bonuses will stay active in a 4-day time frame rather than the actual event time frame.

Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM PDT (GMT −7).
Exclusive moves
If you catch or hatch an Eevee during the extra time frame mentioned above, it’ll know the powerful Normal-type move: Last Resort.
When you evolve Eevee into any of its Evolutions in the above time frame, that Pokémon will know a special attack.
- Vaporeon: Scald
- Jolteon: Zap Cannon
- Flareon: Superpower
- Espeon: Shadow Ball
- Umbreon: Psychic
- Leafeon: Bullet Seed
- Glaceon: Water Pulse
- Sylveon: Psyshock
Other Bonuses
The following bonuses stay active throughout the four-day time frame.
- Evolving Eevee into Sylveon will require only seven hearts instead of the usual 70.
- There will be special Timed Research available that rewards a Mossy Lure Module and a Glacial Lure Module.
- There will be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins. That includes 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Incense, an Elite Fast TM, and an Elite Charged TM.
