Niantic is bringing back a Mukip Community Day to Pokemon GO this April 2022. The April Community Day Classic features Mudkip, the Water-type starter Pokémon. It’s an excellent chance for trainers to catch a Shiny Mudkip as the chances are high on a Community Day. They can also evolve it to learn the event-exclusive move and take advantage of in-game bonuses. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.
Date + Time
Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM [local time].
It is a three-hour time frame. But, you can still get an exclusive move with evolution until up to two hours afterward, that is 7:00 PM [local time].
Featured Pokémon
The Water-type Pokémon Mudkip is the featured Pokémon of the April 2022 Community Day Classic. Mudkip will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Mudkip ✨. It’s an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch better and/or Shiny Mudkip.
Exclusive Move
If you evolve Marshtomp (Mudkip’s Evolution) into Swampert in the event time or up to two hours afterward, the Pokémon evolves knowing the Ultimate Charged Water-type Exclusive Move – Hydro Cannon.

Pokemon GO Mudkip Community Day Classic Special Research
On this month’s Community Day Classic, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called “Mudkip Community Day Classic”. Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1.
Bonuses
In addition to Mudkip’s frequent encounters, Niantic will be bringing a few more bonuses too.
- 3× Catch XP during the event.
- A giveaway of 30 Ultra Balls in the shop for free. Be sure to take it.
- The Incense used during the event will remain active for three hours rather than the usual one hour.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Additionally, there’ll be a one-time purchase of the Community Day Box available for 850 PokéCoins. That includes 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Elite Fast TM, and 1 Remote Raid Pass.
