Niantic has updated all the events lined up for January 2022 in Pokemon GO. Pokemon GO January 2022 will have a colossal kick-off with the New Year’s Event. Niantic is bringing back Heatran and Genesect to Pokemon GO Raids and also bringing Regice to the game in the second half of the month. Not only that, a lot of featured Pokémon, Researches and other bonuses are waiting. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.
January Research Breakthrough encounters
From January 1 to February 1, you will encounter Onix in Research Breakthrough encounters for the entire month.
Weekly Bundles
Every Monday throughout January, a one-time purchase bundle will be available in the shop for 1 PokéCoin. It contains a Remote Raid Pass and other items.
Legendary Pokémon Raids
Niantic is bringing back Heatran, Genesect, and Regice to the Pokemon GO five-star raids.
- Kyurem: Until January 7
- Heatran: January 7 – 15
- Genesect (Shock Drive): January 15 – 24
- Regice: January 24 – February 1
Every Wednesday in January, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM [local time]. The following Legendary Pokemon will take more gyms during the Raid Hour on that day.
