Niantic is bringing January Community Day. A great chance for trainers to catch featured Pokémon, learn event-exclusive moves, and take advantage of in-game bonuses. For you to get things ready, here is the complete information you need to know prior to Community Day.
Date + Time
Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM [local time].
The traditional three-hour time frame is now six-hours. Also, you can still get an exclusive move with evolution up to two hours afterward, that is 7:00 PM [local time].
January Community Day Featured Pokémon
The fighting type Pokémon Machop is the featured Pokémon of this month’s Community Day. Machop will appear more frequently in the wild. You may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Machop if you’re lucky. Great chance for trainers to get better Machop if they already had one.
January Community Day Exclusive Move
If you evolve Machoke (Machop’s evolution) into Machamp (Final evolution) in the event time or up to two hours afterward. The Pokémon evolves with knowing the Exclusive Move – Payback, which is a Dark-type attack.
Community Day Special Research
On this month’s Community Day, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called ‘Straight to the Top, Machop!’. Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1. If you purchase the Ticket for next month’s Kanto Tour, However, you’ll get a Special Research Story of January and February for free as a bonus.
Other Bonuses
In addition to Machop’s frequent encounters, there are two more in-game bonuses that stay active through the event time frame. You’ll get 3x Stardust for catching a Pokémon during the event. And also, if you use an Incense, it’ll last for three hours.
Also, there’ll be a one-time purchase of the Machop Community Day Box at 1,280 PokéCoins. That includes an Elite Charged TM, four Incense, four Star Pieces, and 30 Ultra Balls.
