May is just at the end, and Niantic has updated all the events lined up for June in Pokémon GO. Pokemon GO June 2021 will have a colossal kickoff with the Regi Trio. The Regirock, Registeel, and Regice will be back to five-star-raids for a while, and also a surprise Pokémon planned followed by. A lot of featured Pokémon, Raids, Researches, Egg Hatchs, and other bonuses are waiting. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.
Shadow Zapdos
Team Go Rocket leader Giovanni will have Shadow Zapdos in his grasp from Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 12:00 AM until Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 12:00 AM [local time]. If you haven’t already, complete the special research story “The Higher They Fly” to earn a Super Rocket Radar to challenge Giovanni.
June Research Breakthrough encounters
For the entire month from June 1 to July 1, you will encounter Clamperl in Research Breakthrough encounters. As a bonus, you’ll also receive a free Remote Raid Pass and twice the XP when you achieve a Research Breakthrough.
Legendary Pokémon Raids
Niantic is bringing the Regi Trio – Regirock, Registeel, and Regice – to the five-star raids again. They’ll stay for the first half of the month till June 17 and later replaced by a surprise Legendary Pokémon.
- June 1, 10 AM to June 17, 10 AM [local time]: Regirock, Registeel, and Regice
- June 17 to June 30: Surprise Legendary Pokémon (TBA)
Every Wednesday in June, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM [local time]. The following Legendary Pokémon will take more gyms during that day in the Raid Hour.

A Very Slow Discovery
From June 8, 10:00 AM through Sunday, June 13, 8:00 PM [local time], Niantic is bringing a Slowpoke-themed event that features Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowbro, and Mega Slowbro Pokémon GO debuts. It also includes a Collection Challenge featuring Slowpoke and others to complete.
Solstice Event
Niantic is bringing a special event for summer solstice from June 17, 10 AM to June 20, 8 PM. During the event, Trainers who live in the Northern Hemisphere will encounter summer-themed Pokemon while Trainers in Southern Hemisphere will encounter winter-themed Pokemon. Niantic says more details about the event will be out on June 16.

A mystery event planned for the end of June from June 25, 10 AM to July 1, 8 PM [local time]. It’s a to be announced event. Niantic teased the event as “Trainers will be able to sink their two front teeth into an unexpected event.”
