Niantic has updated all the events lined up for September 2021 in Pokemon GO. Pokemon GO September 2021 will have a colossal kickoff with the Season of Mischief, feature Hoopa Special Research. Niantic is bringing back Lugia to Pokémon GO after GO Fest, along with Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf Raids later this month. Not only that, a lot of featured Pokémon, Researches and other bonuses are waiting. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.
September Research Breakthrough encounters
For the entire month from September 1 to October 1, you will encounter Ditto in Research Breakthrough encounters. If you’re lucky, you can get a chance to encounter Shiny Ditto ✨. Shiny Ditto is here to stay, so you can get it in the wild from now even after this period.
Weekly Bundles
Every Monday throughout September, a one-time purchase bundle containing a Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available in the shop for 1 PokéCoin.
Legendary Pokémon Raids
Niantic is bringing back Lugia, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf to the five-star raids.
- September 1 to September 14: Lugia with the attack Aeroblast
- September 14 to October 1: Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf (Based on the region)
- Uxie: Asia-Pacific
- Mesprit: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India
- Azelf: The Americas and Greenland
If you are lucky, you might get a chance to encounter Shiny Uxie ✨, Shiny Mesprit ✨, and Shiny Azelf ✨.
Every Wednesday in September, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM [local time]. The following Legendary Pokémon will take more gyms during that day in the Raid Hour.

New Feature Update
Niantic is going to introduce the next most awaited feature for the battlers in Pokémon GO. The new Evolution Preview screen helps trainers to know the CP of evolution before evolving it. This new Evolution preview screen will display the following.
- The current Pokémon and its CP
- The Pokémon’s Evolution and its new CP
- The leagues the Evolved Pokémon would qualify for
This feature is said to be going live sometime in September.
Upcoming Events
- Season of Mischief: As the Season of Discovery ends, Pokémon GO continues with mischief. Hoopa, the Mischief Pokémon, will be available to catch for the first time ever in Pokemon GO. To celebrate Hoopa’s arrival, Niantic is bringing a one-day event that will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Niantic said, “The event features various strange phenomena happening all around the world in Pokemon GO, maybe these events have something to do with Hoopa?”There will also be a season-long Special Research story available, with parts of the story only being unlocked during certain events throughout the season.
