Pokemon GO Oshawott Community Day 2021 – Everything you need to know

Niantic is bringing yet another Community Day for September to Pokemon GO.  The September Community Day features Oshawott, the water starter Pokémon. It’s a great chance for trainers to catch a Shiny Oshawott as the chances are high on a Community Day. They can also evolve it to learn event-exclusive moves and take advantage of in-game bonuses. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.

Date + Time

Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM [local time].

It is a six-hour time frame. But, you can still get an exclusive move with evolution, up to two hours afterward, that is 7:00 PM [local time].

The Water-type Pokémon Oshawott is the featured Pokémon of September Community Day 2021. Oshawott will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Oshawott ✨. It’s an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch better and/or Shiny Oshawott.

Exclusive Move

If you evolve Dewott (Oshawott’s Evolution) into Samurott in the event time or up to two hours afterward. The Pokémon evolves knowing the Ultimate Charged Water-type Exclusive Move – Hydro Cannon.

In addition, Samurott will now be able to learn the Charged Attack Razor Shell. (Razor Shell is not an event-only attack; Samurott can know Razor Shell even after the event time.)

Pokémon GO Oshawott Community Day Special Research

On this month’s Community Day, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called “From Scalchops to Seamitars.” Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1.

Other Bonuses

In addition to Oshawott’s frequent encounters, three more in-game bonuses stay active throughout the event time frame. First, trainers get three times the Catch XP than usual (3x Catch XP) during the event period. Second, the Incense you use during the event will remain active for three hours rather than the usual one hour. And the third, the Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

Additionally, there’ll be a one-time purchase of the Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins. That includes 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Lucky Eggs, 5 Rainy Lure Modules, and an Elite Fast TM.
