Pokémon GO Sustainability Week event adds new Pokémon and bonuses

In partnership with the Niantic Sustainability Campaign, Pokémon GO is bringing the Sustainability Week event. Trainers can earn in-game bonuses by achieving various sustainability-related goals in the real world. For example, taking care of your community, like picking up the trash around your neighborhood, planting a tree, and more. There will be some Featured Pokémon and debuts, Researches, Bonuses, and a lot more during the event time. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.

Date + Time

Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 8:00 PM [local time].

Featured Pokémon

A new Two-Handed Pokémon called Binacle will appear for the first time in Pokémon GO during this event. In addition to Binacle’s Pokémon GO debut, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event time frame:

If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Trubbish ✨.

The following Pokémon will appear in raids during the event time:

Egg Hatches

The following Pokémon will be hatching from 5 km Eggs that are collected during the event:

Bonuses and Rewards

In addition to the frequent appearance of featured Pokémon in the wild, there will be event-exclusive Timed and Field Research tasks available. Completing them will reward encounters with Chespin, Cottonee, Binacle with other reward items.

After one year, Niantic is bringing another Sustainability Campaign. If players around the world work together and hit sustainability-related goals, Niantic offers three tiers of rewards.
