Niantic is bringing a region-specific, Festival of Colors event to Pokémon GO. On the occasion of Holi, a.k.a Festival of Colors, which ushers in spring, Niantic decided to celebrate with Indian trainers. There are some Bonuses, Timed Research tasks, rewards, and Featured Pokémon encounters. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.

Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM IST (GMT +5:30) [Limited to Trainers in India].

Pokémon GO will feature the Pokémon representing the different colors from Festival of Colors. So the following Pokémon will appear more frequently when you use Incense:

Event-exclusive Timed Research

The Festival of Colors-themed Timed Research tasks will be available during the event time frame. Completing them will get you the following rewards.

Other Bonuses

During this whole region-specific event, Niantic decided to give away two new T-shirt avatar items inspired by the Festival of Colors to all Trainers worldwide. These avatar items will be available for free in the in-game shop starting on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 1:00 PM [Pacific Time].

In addition, there will be two event-exclusive boxes available in the in-game shop during the event time. One is free to take, which contains three Incense to utilize the event. And the second box costs 100 PokéCoin containing 30 Poké Balls, a Lucky Egg, and 10 Pinap Berries.

In the meantime, India Wayfarer Challenge is already live from March 16, 2021, at 12:00 AM and will continue till March 26, 2021, at 12:00 AM IST (GMT +5:30). Trainers can unlock different tiers of rewards depending on the number of Wayspots they approve during the challenge. So utilize the event and hope you Catch ‘em All.
