Pokémon GO Tricky Pokémon Event kicks off on April Fool's Day

In the essence of April Fool’s Day, the mischievous Pokémon to take over Pokémon GO. Niantic is bringing another Tricky Pokémon Event that features Pokémon that are mischievous in nature; they will appear more frequently in the wild. Also, some of them may even be Ditto in disguise. There are few more things to happen. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.

Date + Time

Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM [local time].

Well, that’s throughout the entire April Fool’s Day.

Featured Pokémon

During the Tricky Pokémon Event, the following Pokémon which prone to mischief will be appearing more often in the wild:

Ditto, the master of mischief and disguise, will also appear more frequently in the wild during the event. In addition to Ditto’s current disguises, there is one more new disguise added to the list. Rumors say, Purrloin.

During the event, Team GO Rocket Grunts will only have Shadow Aipom. And they will appear more often at PokéStops and in balloons.

Timed Research

The Team GO Rocket Timed Research launching during this event will be available from Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 12:00 AM to Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 11:59 PM [local time]. Complete it within that time to earn a Super Rocket Radar and other rewards.

Other Bonuses

Besides all the above mischief, there is another bonus kind of thing that stays active throughout the event time frame. The time it takes to switch a Pokémon while battling in GO Battle League will be cut in half. For instance, you can switch your Pokémon double the faster than usual. However, your opponent can do that too.
