This deals comes after a while from the announcement of Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard. And now Sony buys Bungie for $3.6 billion deal. The news about this acquisition is made through their respective blogs and twitter.

Though a deal has been made between Bungie and Sony, Bungie will be making its games for all the platforms. The CEO of Bungie mentioned that it will “continue to independently publish and creatively develop our games”. The main reason for this deal to happen is because of the what SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) is offering. The heart of SIE and Bungie is mostly similar of making games with the independence.

As most have been thinking Bungie has made it clear that the games will not be PlayStation exclusive in the future. The company is committed in making games for all the platforms and will continue to make and support. The developers of Bungie will be sitting together with Sony developers under one roof. The companies will be sharing their resources in order to create better games and community as they have been doing.

“We are excited to make plans to share skills and expertise, and to unlock the potential in having the brilliant minds at Bungie under the PlayStation roof.” – Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios
