Augmented Reality is no doubt the future technology and many developers are working to make games in AR. Yaatra is one of them, this new AR game is launched in India by the Krikey app. The game was developed in collaboration with Reliance Jio and is available in the App Store and Play Store for free.
Yaatra is an action-adventure game but in AR which uses the phone camera. Jio led the Series A funding to the gaming with a total of $22 million. This game also brings exclusive features for Jio users. Krikey is an AR developing company and the app contains some more AR games to play. Developers of this game describe this game as an action-adventure game where you have to join a quest to defeat an army of monsters. We have to use weapons such as bow and arrow, chakra, lightning, and fire bolts. The game will be on different levels and have puzzles to solve.
The game has been built with Google maps to help raise funds for the game. Yaatra will feature some collectives with which you can upgrade your character and skills. The game will soon be available to JioPhone users also.
The AR-based game will allow players to share their personalized videos with friends. There is a digital playground where players can see gameplay videos posted by others. Above all, there will be a 3D avatar and some free game tokens to unlock some special weapons and levels exclusive for Jio Users.
