According to the leaks and news, it is rumored that Apple is planning to make iPhone 12 in India. The reasons for this is that the Taiwanese contract manufacturer “Wistron” in Bengaluru has started to recruit 10,000 new employees. The article in New Indian Express has mentioned that the Wistron Manufacturing had already announced that it will be investing around 3000 crores on the project.
The new Made in India iPhone 12 may excepted to be from mid-2021 as per Business Standard’s report. This makes the 7th Apple phone that is being manufactured in India and the first high-end flagship phone to be manufactured. Currently, Apple makes iPhone 11, iPhone XR and some older models like iPhone 6s and iPhone 7.
Another good news for iPhone fans is that Apple is planning to sell on its online store in India from next month. Earlier this year, CEO Tim cook said that Apple will open an online store this year in India, followed by a physical store the next year.
In a report says, Wistron have a plan to start the production of iPhone SE(2020). With this move, everyone hopes to get the iPhone for a much cheaper price as it reduces around 20 percent of their cost if they manufacture in India. Apple has taken this move because a lot of hatred going on around China-Made-Products worldwide and the situation is same in India too.
The iPhone 12 series is believed to be unveiled along with the new Apple Watch and iPad Models in October as the prior event has been postponed due to this COVID-19 situation.
