Apple has been working on many new techs recently that are planning to replace the iPhones. Yes, you read it right Apple is planning to replace the classic iPhone with AR Headset. Apple has been working on making its own AR Headset for a while now. It is planning to launch the AR Headset next year.
Well, replacing the iPhones won’t be an easy task for Apple. That’s why they have planned to replace it within the next 10 years. This makes me think that this is the reason for Apple not to innovate the iPhone a lot. At present, there are nearly 1 billion iPhone users worldwide, and to replace that, Apple should be able to sell over 1 billion AR Headsets.
Selling the AR Headset won’t be an issue, but making them run on their own would be a big hurdle to cross. All the VR or AR headset that is sold depends on the connection with either a smartphone or laptop. If Apple could develop an ecosystem for the AR headset they are developing, they would have gotten the equation correct. The news of Apple’s thinking to replace the iPhones has been shared by Ming-Chi Kuo on 9to5Mac.
According to his report, he mentions Apple is not only planning to replace the iPhones but also MacBooks and iPads. He also says that it will have a standalone operating system that can perform like the Mac. The possibility might seem a reality in the coming future as most eyes are towards the Metaverse. Another thing that Apple might have to look after is the number of comprehensive apps. Kuo is known for his predictions, and this might be a long road ahead for Apple.
