It seems Google will continue bringing A-series in its Pixel lineup. We have already seen the leaked renders of the rumored Pixel 6a. The design is at most identical and in line with Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. For instance, the punch hole, the full-wide visor-like camera module on the back and the dual-tone color design. The visor of Google Pixel 6a will accommodate a dual camera. The OLED display on the front of 6a is expected to be 6.2 inches.
A new report from 9to5Google suggests that the incoming mid-range Pixel smartphone will feature the same main camera from the Google Pixel 5. The main camera will be a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor, the same main camera used in the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, and Pixel 4. In addition, it also mentioned that the secondary 12MP Sony IMX355 sensor – likely intended to be used with an ultrawide lens. Finally, the front-facing camera is the same 8MP Sony IMX355 from previous Pixels and Pixel 6 (non-Pro).
Google Pixel 6a – Leaked Design Renders
The previous speculation claims that the upcoming Google Pixel 6a may use either the Google Tensor SoC like on the Pixel 6 duo or the Snapdragon 778G. But the new report from 9to5Google suggests that the Google Pixel 6a will be powered by the same Google Tensor chipset seen in Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Google Pixel 5a came to light just a few months before Google Pixel 6 launch. So, the Pixel 6 could arrive in August 2022. However, there is no official statement from Google that proves Pixel 6a’s existence. So we just have to wait.
