Huawei will launch its Android alternative Harmony OS on June 2

Huawei will also launch its new products along with Harmony OS.

Harmony OS will launch on June 2

Huawei has been working on its new Operating System, “Harmony OS,” as an Android alternative after the US ban. As we all knew that Huawei is under the US ban and cannot use Google services, Huawei has to look for its own solution to survive in the smartphone market. The company is working on it, and the developer versions already hit China in recent months. It looks like Huawei is finally ready to launch its new mobile platform officially. Harmony OS is going to launch on June 2.

Huawei officially announced the Harmony OS launch date by posting a video on its Weibo account. The confirmed date is June 2, and the event is at 8 PM GMT+8 (8 AM ET).  Huawei also posted the English version of the same video on HuaweiMobile’s Twitter account. So it can be considered as it is not a China-only event but also a global event.

According to a report by Ars Technica, the early impressions of the developer preview of Harmony OS portraits that it is literally an Android with EMUI skin. No one knows how the official mobile platform looks like. However, Huawei promised that HarmonyOS would offer seamless cross-device capabilities, adaptive UI, and faster cross-device data transfers.

Hopefully, Harmony OS will launch with all the promises, and there is no more wait to see it on their smartphones and other smart devices. Let’s see when it goes global and widens their new platform.
