Ming-Chi Kuo knows as “The Most Accurate Apple Analyst in the World,” has shared his research note on what to expect from the upcoming iPhone. He shared that iPhone 13 series may come with a smaller notch and 120Hz Display. Added to that, he also revealed about next-gen iPhone SE, a foldable iPhone, and more.
According to Kuo’s research note, iPhone 13 will have the same four models we saw last year with iPhone 12 series – the regular iPhone 13, iPhone Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Though the iPhone 12 Mini faced low demand, Apple is not killing the Mini series.
The upcoming iPhones will still support a lightning connecter. And it also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 modem. The entire iPhone 13 line-up will come equipped with significantly larger batteries this time.
iPhone 13 with 120Hz Display?
Yes, iPhone 13 will feature a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to Kuo’s note. But that might be limited to Pro models – iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was the most-anticipated feature, expected with iPhone 12, but it doesn’t have it after all. Let’s hope we’ll get to see it on iPhone 13 series this time.
Kuo also says that Apple will shrink the notch size with upcoming iPhones, and they may move to punch-hole display with 2022 iPhones. There is no clue yet on how they’ll manage with Face ID.
Kuo also forecasts that a full-screen iPhone with no notches and punch-holes might arrive in the second half of 2023, along with an under-display Touch ID and periscope camera.
Foldable iPhone
You might already hear rumors on Apple is working on a foldable iPhone. Kuo has revealed that Apple may launch a foldable iPhone in 2023. The launch may get delayed, but it is coming.
iPhone SE 5G
According to Kuo, the new iPhone SE will be very similar to the existing model, with the biggest changes being 5G support and an upgraded processor. And the next iPhone SE won’t launch at least until the first half of 2022.
Apple will release the new iPhone SE model in 1H22. The exterior design and most specifications are similar to the existing 4.7-inch iPhone SE. The biggest change is to support 5G and processor upgrades.
