LG officially yesterday confirmed its new phone i.e LG Wing with Dual-Display Swiveling design. So, when we look at the phone it just looks normal and even feels normal with the design. The real feature is when the primary display is swiveled that’s when the magic happens. The phone is not the regular foldable display but is something different.

LG is trying out something different all you can say after watching the teaser of the phone. Let’s talk about the specifications first.

Specifications:

The phone comes with a Snapdragon 765G with 8GB of RAM. The primary display is a 6.8-inch full HD+ P-OLED panel and the secondary display is a 3.9-inch full HD+ G-OLED panel. The main display has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 395ppi of pixel density. The second display weirdly has a 1.15:1 aspect ratio with a pixel density of 419ppi. It has a 4000 mAh battery with Quick charge 4.0+ support and 10W wireless charging support.

Talking about the cameras it has a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 13MP ultrawide angle lens with an f/1.9 lens, and a 12MP tertiary sensor with an f/2.2 ultrawide angle lens. The camera module also has a Hexa-motion stabilizer. The front camera is a pop-up camera with a 32MP f/1.9 sensor.

The phone has two storage variants one with 128GB and another with 256GB with support to expandable storage up to 2TB.  The smartphone does support 4G and also has support to 5G.

Swivel design:

Now coming to the design the software optimizations are done so perfectly that it has a lot of features to offer. The LG Wing features the hinge that uses a hydraulic damper along with dual spring and dual lock to enable the rotation of the main screen. LG claims that the hinge mechanism has been tested for as much as 200,000 swivels.

You get some unique features with the phone in that one is the Gimble Camera mode. This feature lets you record videos as if you are using a gimble stick with controls on the second display.

You can now chat or even search for another video or even control the video without touching the main display with the secondary display.

There is even a navigation mode where you can pick up a call or even reply to someone or even control music in your car while having the map display the route to your destination.

Well talking about availability it is going to be available from October in South Korea, followed by key markets in North America and Europe. There is no update on whether the phone will come to India or not. The price is also yet to be revealed.
