A 5-day old OnePlus Nord 2 5G exploded inside a sling bag of a woman in Bengaluru on Sunday. Her spouse took Twitter to report the incident to OnePlus and the public. OnePlus soon responded to it and opened an investigation. However, the consumer has deleted the tweet later on, possibly on instructions from OnePlus.
Ankur Sharma, a Bengaluru resident, reported that his wife had gone out cycling with the smartphone in her sling bag on Sunday morning. She bought a brand new OnePlus Nord 2 5G and had a traumatized experience when it exploded.
“Today morning around 6AM IST, my wife went out for cycling with her new OnePlus Nord 2 (5days old) in her sling. All of a sudden phone blasted and smoke started coming out of it. Due to this blast, she met with an accident. She is in trauma after this incident”
– Ankur Sharma posted on Twitter.
He later pulled off the tweet, but the cached version was still available by the time we’re writing this article. He also posted pictures of the exploded OnePlus Nord 2.
