Foldable smartphones are the future and we can see many companies trying to make one. It is that time in a technology where you reach a peak of development and start pivoting into a new direction. The smartphone has reached a limit where it can’t increase the screen size so they have started to fold the display. Samsung isn’t the first foldable smartphone in the world but it is the one ruling it now. Oppo now has brought a competitor to it by launching its first-ever foldable smartphone Oppo Find N.
When we say foldable phone the only phone that comes into our mind is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. We all compare it with the Galaxy Z Fold and Oppo might have done a good job in some aspects. The first place where Oppo Find N has excelled over Galaxy Z Fold is the outer screen. The Galaxy Z Fold screen is a bit narrower to use and doesn’t look like a proper smartphone. Whereas Oppo Find N has a perfect smartphone dimension on the outer display.
Another thing that Oppo has done a good job with is the Hinge. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold has a crease on the screen where it folds in half. But the Oppo Find N doesn’t have a crease like Samsung as the position where it folds forms a small water drop-like shape that helps in not forming a crease. The inner main display is smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold but has a better screen ratio.
Foldables smartphones are just in the starting stage and will take a lot of time to get support from many apps. At present many apps don’t support the aspect ratio of foldable smartphones as they are a little squarer than regular tablets. The Oppo Find N has Snapdragon 888 processor inside with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. I Hope Oppo finds its place in the foldable smartphone after Samsung.
