Google Pixel 6 launch and availability in India

Indians know that Google usually launches its Pixel phones after a long gap from the announcement date. But this time, it’s not the case. The tech giant confirmed that it has no launch plans for the Pixel 6 lineup in India.

In a statement to Gadgets360, Google blames the global chip shortage and other various factors as the reason behind making this decision.

“Due to a variety of factors including global demand supply issues, we are not able to make our products available in all markets. We remain committed to our current Pixel phones and look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to more countries in the future,” a Google spokesperson told Gadgets360 in an email statement.

Although the statements are all about chip shortage, the market experts believe that Google does not consider India a priority market for its flagship devices. We all know the reason, over 90% of the Indian smartphone market is below INR 20,000 range. And that part is being led by Xiaomi, Realme, and other brands in India. However, let’s hope Google launches the new lineup because many Indians are anticipated for its launch or at least Pixel 6a if it exists in the future.
