The PUBG universe is expanding with a new mobile battle royale title announced for Android and iOS called PUBG: New State. This time, the battle royale will be more futuristic as a massive multiplayer genre.
Reportedly, The PUBG: New State is a battle royale set in 2051, which is years after the current PUBG games environment. The new map called Troi features some near-future weapons and vehicles, like drones and deployable combat shields. Based on the early images and screenshots, it looks like having a similar vibe to Call of Duty’s semi-futuristic military tech from games like Black Ops 3 and 4.
New State also promises in-game weapon customization options that will allow players to modify their weapons within a match. Regardless of its mobile nature, PUBG Studio is making promises of “ultra-realistic graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming”. PUBG: New State will be available on Android and iOS later in 2021.
The pre-registrations are already live… here.
This could be PUBG Studio’s third battle royale game. PUBG’s PC version comes first, and its mobile version is second, and this is the third one. Actually, the mobile version of the original PUBG called PUBG Mobile is a separate title; Chinese giant Tencent games built that.
However, PUBG: New State seems it does not have Tencent involvement as there are no logos or mentions seen. So the question is,
Is it coming to India?
Even though the PUBG: New State has been developed by Krafton but not Tencent, it is currently not available to pre-register in India. “This item isn’t available in your country” is what Play Store throws at you.
Kranfton has not mentioned any details regarding its Indian pre-registration situation yet. We just need to wait to get more clarifications of the New State’s Indian launch.
Until we update the status of this, you can keep an eye on PUBG: New State Official Website.
