As expected, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2022 happened, and the company launched the next-gen foldable devices: Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. In addition, Samsung launched the new Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Watch 5, and Watch 5 Pro during the Galaxy Unpacked event. Let’s summarize the entire event and talk about all the latest Samsung devices launched during the event.
Galaxy Z Flip 4
Samsung unveiled Galaxy Z Flip 4 at Galaxy Unpacked today, and it looks a lot like its predecessor. There are few but decent improvements to the new Z Flip 4 from last year’s Z Flip 3. The hinge is now smaller and weighs less compared to last year’s. The bezels are slightly narrow. And the outer mini-screen has a lot of software improvements and customizations added to it, but the aspect ratio remains the same. The phone starts at $999 and will be available on August 26th in 4 color variants: Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, and Blue.
Galaxy Z Fold 4
Samsung isn’t changing a lot of things in Z Fold 4 too. Why big changes while they are at the top of the market? However, we get to see a slimmer and light-weighted hinge in Z Fold 4 with no compromise in durability. The under-display front camera while unfolded is less visible now. There are good software improvements like the taskbar to provide smooth multitasking. The phone starts at $1799 and will be available on August 26th in 3 color variants: Graygreen, Phantom Black, and Beige.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro
The new Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is 15% smaller than its predecessor Galaxy Buds Pro. So it does offer a great fit and comfort for longer usage. It comes with a new codec that supports 24-bit Hi-Fi audio. Hmm, +1 for that. The Buds2 Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.3; more stability. It now not only supports 360 audio but also records 360 audio; that’s a great add-on. It also has improved ANC that cuts off 3db more than last-gen and also comes with improved call quality. The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro costs $229 and will be available on August 26th in 3 color variants: Graphite, White, and Bora Purple.
Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
Samsung unveiled its next Galaxy Watch line-up: Watch 5, and Watch 5 Pro. Both come with IR Temperature Sensor and a bigger battery. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes with a Titanium frame and has the biggest battery ever in Samsung Galaxy Watches. Samsung claims the Watch 5 Pro offers 1.6x better battery life than the previous generation. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series starts at $279 and will be available on August 26th.
