Samsung to re-launch Galaxy S21 FE in India with Snapdragon 888

Strange plans from Sammy.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE New Navy Blue Color Variant with Snapdragon 888 to launch in India.

Samsung is reportedly planning to reintroduce the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE model in India as a strategy to clear out their existing inventory. However, this re-launch will not involve the currently available version of the S21 FE in the country, but rather a variant powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor. The initial release in India featured the Exynos 2100 iteration.

At present, the Exynos 2100-powered  Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is priced at approximately INR 33,000 ($400), whereas the Snapdragon 888 version is expected to be launched at INR 49,999 ($600). The latter variant will come with a base memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, whereas the Exynos variant offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Apart from these differences, the remaining specifications of the smartphone remain the same as the standard Galaxy S21 FE. However, there are rumors indicating the arrival of a new color option for this refreshed version. According to the leaks, the new color variant will be the navy blue variant, which was leaked in 2021 but never showed up at its initial launch.

The Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 was initially released in early 2022 and promised four major updates upon its launch. According to the report, the updated Indian version will also receive four years of major software updates.

In summary, Samsung is set to reintroduce the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE model in India, featuring the Snapdragon 888 processor. This move aims to sell off the existing stock and bring an enhanced variant to the market. The refreshed version is expected to come with improved memory specifications and the promise of long-term software support with four years of major updates.
