Xiaomi launches Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro with secondary display

Xiaomi is the first company to release a smartphone with Snapdragon 888, the Mi 11, last year. The company is expanding its Mi 11 lineup with three more models Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Lite 5G. Xiaomi Mi phones are their flagship phones that have the best the company can offer. With the Mi 11 Ultra, the company has put a secondary display on the back with a huge camera module.

Mi 11 Ultra:

The Mi 11 Ultra has a 6.81-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED Samsung E4 display with a curve on all 4 sides. The 2K resolution screen has a 120Hz refresh rate with a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a maximum brightness of 1500nits and has support to HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Corning Gorilla glass Victus is present on display as protection. The phone also has a secondary display of a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch on the back. It acts as an Always-On-Display with a maximum brightness of 450nits.

Under the hood of the Mi 11 Ultra is the Snapdragon 888 chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage support is up to 512GB of UFS3.1. The phone has a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W wired as well as wireless charging. It can also reverse wireless charge a phone at 10W. For the first time, Mi has got an official IP68 water and dust rating for the Mi 11 Ultra.

The camera setup of Mi 11 Ultra is a triple camera with a 50MP Samsung GN2 main camera with an aperture of f/1.95. The other two sensors are an ultra-wide camera with a 48MP Sony IMX586 and a tele-macro sensor. The ultra-wide-angle camera has an aperture of f/2.2 with an FoV of 128 degrees. The tele-macro lens supports optical zoom up to 5X and a digital zoom up to 120X. The front camera is a 20MP with 4-in-1 binding having an aperture of f/2.2. The back camera has support to 8K video recording with all three sensors.

Mi 11 Ultra supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone comes with Harman Kardon tuned stereo speakers.

Mi 11 Pro:

Mi 11 Pro borrows a lot of feature from the Mi 11 Ultra. The primary difference is the lack of a secondary display on the back and the huge camera module. In terms of design, it looks like the Mi 11 model. The Pro model also misses the advanced camera setup from the Ultra phone. The display of the Mi 11 Pro is the same as the Mi 11 Ultra with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision Support.

The camera is also a triple-camera with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 primary sensor with an f/1.95 lens and OIS support. The secondary sensor is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with a 123-degree FoV. The third sensor is an 8-megapixel tele-macro tertiary camera with OIS, a 50x digital zoom, and 5x optical zoom. The front camera is similar to the Mi 11 Ultra with a 20MP sensor.
