Xiaomi is getting ready to launch their new flagship phone with the Snapdragon 888 processor. The new Mi 11 will be launched on Monday 28th December. Before the launch itself, the co-founder and CEO of Xiaomi revealed that the phone retail unit would be not having a charger in the box. Xiaomi is looking to follow the strategy set by Apple with its new iPhone 12 series.

This year, when Apple launched its iPhone 12 series, it did not bundle a charger in the box. This move was due to the companies policy to have a carbon-free environment. This move got a positive response from the Apple fans and got a lot of trolls from the other companies. Xiaomi is one of the companies which used this as a publicity move for their Mi 10T Pro. Check out the tweet by Xiaomi for Mi 10T Pro.

Now for their successor of the Mi 10, there are removing the charger out of the box. The CEO of Xiaomi mentions in the Tweet, “In Response to the call of technology and environmental protection.” Samsung is also another company that mocked Apple, and a leak suggests their new Samsung Galaxy S21 not to have a charger.

Xiaomi will be the first company to launch the phone with the new Snapdragon 888. The company also will be holding the first Android phone to remove the charger from the box. Personally, this move to make the world carbon-free is really appreciable, and hope other companies join this. There is literally no one with a charger using a smartphone these days and some do have more than one. Those who don’t have a charger should buy it separately.

According to the leaks, the new Mi 11 will be having a triple 108MP camera setup. The Screen to be QHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7 with curved edges. It will be also having the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
