Amazon launches Prime Video Channels in India. These Prime Video Channels will have subscriptions to about eight OTT platforms. This was possible in partnership with these eight leading OTT companies. These eight channels include Lionsgate Play, Eros Now, Discovery+, Hoichoi, MUBI, Shorts TV, manoromaMAX, and Docubay. All these can now be streamed from one place that is Amazon Prime Video Channels.
So how do we watch these OTT’s content in the Prime Video? For that, you need an Amazon Prime membership. To watch these channels, you also need to have a separate subscription to these platforms. You can choose any one channel or even more. Prime Video Channels don’t mean you can watch the content from other media for free.
For the first year, you will get a discounted price for all the channels. Here is the list of the price for all the channels present now:
- Lionsgate Play – Rs. 699/ year,
- MUBI – Rs. 1999/ year,
- Shorts TV – Rs. 299/ year,
- Eros Now – Rs. 299/ year,
- Discovery + – Rs. 299/ year,
- Hoichoi – Rs. 599/ year,
- Docubay – Rs. 499/ year,
- manoromaMAX – Rs. 699/ year.
This pricing is only for the first year and will be changed after the first cycle. This move from Amazon will benefit not only them but also other OTT companies also. Having all of their favorite shows under one app would be less burdening for the users. It will also save space for other applications on the phone. Prime Video Channels will also leverage the reach and tech infrastructure.
