The most awaited series from Amazon Originals is The Lord of Rings, which will be airing this year. This series is mainly on the history of the second age of Middle earth. With the title announcement, we also get the release date of the first season. The first season of The Lord of Rings: The Rings of Power first episode will be available from September 2nd updated weekly. This series takes places thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
This new series focuses more on how the rings were created that are tied to the evil and the hardship of men. The director of the series mentions that we have seen only one on-screen ring and before that, there were many rings. And we will be showing the epic tales of all of them through this series. The title The Rings of Power unites all the stories of the rising of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic tale of Númenor, and the Last Alliances of Elves and Men.
We have been told in the Lord of the Rings movies only about one ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. But in the small teaser, you get to hear about a lot of rings nearly 20 rings. Does this mean we get to see 20 tales about all those rings? Well, we need to wait till September. There is no information about a sequel to the first series but they did mention multiple series.
