BAFTA Film Awards 2021 winners announced: Nomadland wins top honors

Here is the list of all the winners at the 74th British Academy Film and Television Awards.

BAFTA Film Awards 2021 Winners - Nomadland

The winners of the BAFTA Film Awards 2021 have been announced. Nomadland took top honors this year, with Director Chloé Zhao lifted the Best Director trophy.

The 74th British Academy Film and Television Awards ceremony was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 10 and 11th. Chloé Zhao’s drama appeared as a big winner at the ceremony by taking a total of four awards. Nomadland wins top four honors, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Leading Actress for Frances McDormand for playing a lead role in the film.

Chloé Zhao is the second female director to win Best Director at BAFTAs after Kathryn Bigelow’s win for Hurt Locker in 2010.

Promising Young Woman, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Sound of Metal, Soul, and The Father, each picked up two awards. Anthony Hopkins becomes the oldest person to receive the Leading Actor award at BAFTAs 2021.
