Vin Diesel has also made his own announcement on Instagram, revealing the title logo. Diesel also included the caption “Day 1”, indicating that production had begun.
The announcement that filming has begun for Fast X comes just after the confirmation that Brie Larson is joining the cast. Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) joins Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) as Fast And Furious franchise newcomers in the Fast X.
While Larson’s role and other details haven’t been revealed yet, Diesel said Larson would bring something that fans have unknowingly longed for. He said in the post: “You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the family Brie.”
Justin Lin is directing Fast X, and it will be the first half of a two-part finale for the franchise. So, it’s possible that F10 and F11 will be filmed back-to-back. Fast and Furious 10 will release in theaters on May 19, 2023.
