After almost three years, we have got a sequel to the family movie series. Did I say Family sorry? It is a Fast and Furious 9 (F9) movie. So after a very long time, this is the first Hollywood movie to get $700 million after the pandemic release. This collection is only from the theaters, and the movie isn’t yet released in India. The movie was supposed to be out in 2020 but has been delayed due to the pandemic. The movie has been only released in the theaters while all others titles found other ways to release their movies.
Fast and Furious 9 will be out on September 9 in India. It will be facing Marvel’s Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings in theaters and Black Widow at home on Disney Plus Hotstar. Since the release, fast and Furious 9 (F9) has got many pirated prints in torrents from day one. Even though some of the prints were not that great to watch, most movie lovers couldn’t stop watching the movie. The fast and Furious series has got a big fan base in India. The movie couldn’t be released in India due to the lockdown situation.
Now this movie is quite old for the likes to get the collection from India. The movie has also set a new world record by collecting $70 million in the first week. Most of the contribution to the movie came from China ($203.9 million), followed by the US($172.6 million). Fast and Furious 9 (F9) is also the first Hollywood movie to reach the $200 million mark in China since Hobbs & Shaw. The next chapter from the Fast and Furious is due to release in 2023.
