If you are a ’90s kid, you do remember the series of movies Home Alone. I still remember the film where the kid is left to stay alone and protect his home. The first movie in this Home Alone franchise was released in 1990, and the last film was in the year 2012. After almost a decade, we get to see a new movie from this franchise. This will be the first movie, a planned refresh of Fox studios after being acquired by Disney Plus.
Disney Plus, on Thursday, in a Tweet, mentioned the Home Sweet Home Alone would be available to stream from November 12th. Tweet thread also says the film’s cast starring Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell. Yates will be playing as a young boy left home alone when his family is in Japan for the holidays.

Until now, there have been five films in this series. The first Home Alone movie in the series has scored two Oscars for background score and original song. This new refresh movie has been scripted by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell of Saturday Night Live. Dan Mazer will be directing the film while Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson serve as producers.
I am excited to see how the kid deals with the couple that has come to rob. It’s just three more months from the release of the movie.
Disney Plus is also working on other titles like Cheaper By the Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
