According to the report by Variety, this movie has just edged over the F9 movie with a collection of $70 million. This movie also makes the highest Labour Day openings that are considered an inactive period for getting collections. The previous record for the highest Labour Day was Halloween way back in 2007, with a collection of $30.6 million. It took more than a decade to break this record.
Marvel Shang-Chi has been released exclusively to the theaters that were not the case in Black Widow. This kind of collection from Shang-Chi might make Disney rethink their strategy of releasing superhero films.
