No Time To Die from the James Bond line up is the most-awaited movie of 2020. There’s no doubt in that. But, COVID-19 situations cursed almost everything around the world, Bond is no exception. On the other side, most of the movies released on the OTT streaming platform as theaters still stay closed.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple and Netflix held talks with MGM to take the James Bond film for streaming. Later, Bloomberg updated the report saying MGM has declined to comment on any talks. But mentioned the film “is not for sale.” It is pretty strong, it should be for such a strong film.
No Time To Die is the 25th movie in the James Bond series and Daniel Craig’s last run as 007. It is the most-anticipated movie of the year. Initially, the movie was scheduled to release in April. Due to COVID situations out there, it delayed many times. Recently, the release pushed to April 2021 from November 2020.
MGM is under heavy pressure to skip theater release and sell No Time To Die to a heavy bidder. Netflix and Apple TV + are in the bid race for now. The bidding should be of an extremely high amount to acquire a movie like that for streaming. No Time To Die budget is reportedly around $250 million. So of course the bidding should be way more. Even streaming platforms can drive even more amount for releasing a movie like that in their platform.
Fans are very eager to watch it as this is Craig’s last film as Bond. Let’s wait to see what MGM decides. Whether they stick to theater experience or tempt to release in the OTT platform. But everyone is aware, watching Bond in a theater experience will fantastic like no other. A must-mention name is Billie Eilish, her No Time To Die title track could possibly take you to the third world while you’re listening. By the way, here the trailer for another quick watch.
