Netflix is now in early development in a live-action detective show Pokemon TV series. The writer and producer of this show will be Joe Henderson. Henderson is currently involved as writer and executive producer of the TV series Lucifer. At present, the series Lucifer is getting ready to air its sixth and last season. The Live-action series will be similar to the movie Detective Pikachu that was released in 2019.
The original movie Detective Pikachu has got Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith as its leading roles. As the project from Netflix is still in early development, there are no details about the Pokemon series. The representations that are a part of the show haven’t given any comment regarding the statement to Variety. Netflix from the past few years is concentrating more on anime. It has been putting efforts to make original series based on the games and movies. Not only anime, but it is also concentrating on live-action anime titles as well. The live-action anime from Netflix was Death Note back in 2017.
In March, Henderson has announced series based on the comic book “Shadecraft” on Netflix. Henderson will be executive producer of the show, with Georgia Lee, with whom he is penning the show’s pilot. Netflix currently has many Pokemon anime shows. Pokemon has become a phenomenon since its first launch in 1970 and has been expanding its franchise. Pokemon now has franchises in games, movies, anime, trading cards, books, and much more. The last live-action film Detective Pikachu has been a success at the theaters with a collection of $430 million worldwide with a budget of $150 million.
