Samuel L. Jackson well known for everyone with his iconic character in the MCU as Nick Fury. According to a report from Variety, it is known that Jackson AKA Nick Fury will be back again in an upcoming series by Marvel and Disney Plus.
There are no details regarding what the series is about as Variety states as “kept under wrap”. The show staring Jackson will have Kyle Bradstreet as writer and producer. Like all the other marvel shows on Disney Plus, this will also be under the Marvel Studios.
About Jackson:
Jackson is one of the iconic actors of the present times. He is known for his Oscar-nominated performance in “Pulp Fiction (1994)” and even his frequent collaborations with Quentin Tarantino. The duo has movies such as “Jackie Brown (1997)”, “The Hateful Eight (2015)”, and “Django Unchained (2012)”. The actor has also worked with Spike Lee on different movies such as “Do the Right Thing (1989)”, “School Daze (1988)”, “Mo’ Better Blues (1990)”, “Jungle Fever (1991)” and “Chi-Raq (2015)”.
Jackson made his MCU debut in 2008’s Iron Man in a post-credit sequence. In that movie, he starts to talk with Tony Stark about the Avengers Initiative. After his debut, he featured in multiple MCU movies such as Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, and few other movies. Jackson played the role of the monocular head of the clandestine government agency S.H.I.E.L.D.
The last time we saw was (Spoiler Alert) in the post-credit scenes of Spiderman far from Home. He was revealed as Talos, the leader of Skrulls, during the movie. So we still don’t know from when Talos has been posing as Fury.
About Bradstreet:
Kyle Bradstreet previously was a writer and producer for the show in USA’s Network Mr. Robot. We all know that the show was Emmy-winner. His other works include “Borgia”, “Berlin Station”, and “Copper”.
Due to the pandemic COVID, the rest of the MCU is on hold. This year we will be having only the “Wanda Vision” coming to Disney Plus later this year. The Falcon and Winter Soldier has been pushed to 2021. Black widow also will be in 2021. It was reported recently that Tatiana Maslany is attached to star in the “She-Hulk” series. Other Marvel works will be “Hawkeye”, “Moon Knight” and “Ms. Marvel”. 2020 is the year in a decade where there is no Marvel movie.
