Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home went up for sale on November 29 and instantly broke the internet. Meanwhile, the bid of those tickets on sale went to an absurdly high $25,000 on eBay.
The moment the tickets for the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker went live, several theatre sites crashed due to the high amount of traffic. Many fans have been awaiting the release, and the time has finally come.
As movie ticket sites crashed under demand, some folks took advantage and turned into resellers on eBay. The fans can now get the opening night tickets from eBay. However, that convenience is costly. The resellers, or call them scalpers, are selling Spider-Man: No Way Home movie tickets for thousands of dollars. And it goes as high as $10,000 and even $25,000, which is ridiculously high.
Are people even buying them?
The question is, does anyone buy them if the price of a ticket is astronomically high? Believe me, the tickets are already marked as sold out, which merely betokens someone has purchased them for $25k.
Paying $25,000 for a $20 movie ticket is way excessive, and there are no words to describe the madness. Spider-Man: No Way Home could also be one of the MCU’s biggest non-Avengers releases ever. It is expected that the film will surpass the box-office results of Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings.
In addition to Tom Holland, the Spider-Man: No Way Home also stars Zendaya, Tom Hardy, Alfred Molina, Jamie Fox, Willem Dafoe, Benedict Cumberbatch, J.K. Simmons, and more. It will hit the theatres on December 17, 2021.
