2020 was a pretty odd time for the movie industry. Most of the anticipated movies are rescheduled. However, we assume 2021 will not be the same. There is a big list of movies hitting both theatres and OTT screens. And we made a separate list of the twelve biggest movies that will release in 2021, which you don’t want to miss.
1/12 Tom & Jerry
Release Date: February 26 (US), March 5 (UK), January 9 (AU)
Tom & Jerry is one on the list of movies that will hit theatre and OTT (HBO MAX) on the same day. But that OTT release will last just for a month, So try not to miss it.
2/12 The King’s Man
Release Date: March 12 (US), March 12 (UK), March (AU)
The King’s Man, directed by Matthew Vaughn, is a prequel to the original King’s Man Timeline. It’s a remarkable comeback as a separate line-up.
3/12 Zack Snyder’s Justice League
Release Date: March (US)
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will hit HBO MAX in March. It may release either as a movie or a series, but the footage is of 4 hours length, which is much longer for a film.
4/12 No Time To Die
Release Date: April 2 (US), April 2 (UK), April 12 (AU)
No Time to Die is one of the biggest movies that bumped out of theatre due to COVID situations. However, Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie is set to release after one year of its original release.
5/12 A Quiet Place: Part II
Release Date: April 23 (US), April 23 (UK), April 22 (AU)
A Quiet Place Part 2 is a follow up to John Krasinski’s horror hit. Part II is also the first movie, along with No Time to Die, that failed to hit theatres. Anyway, we’ll get to see it soon.
6/12 Black Widow
Release Date: May 7 (US), May 7 (UK)
Black Widow tried few times to make a theatrical release but failed. Finally, the first Phase 4 movie is hitting theatres after a year of its original release date. Of course, it is releasing after three Phase 4 TV Shows on Disney+, but Black Widow is one of the most-awaited and anticipated movies.
7/12 Godzilla vs. Kong
Release Date: May 21 (US), May 21 (UK)
Godzilla vs. Kong is a highly-anticipated showdown within Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary’s cinematic Monsterverse. Blair Witch and Adam Wingard directed it.
8/12 Fast 9
Release Date: May 28 (US)
WWE Superstar John Cena joins the Fast and Furious franchise as Jakob, Dom Toretto’s evil assassin brother. Jakob works for the criminal mastermind, Cipher, played by Charlize Theron.
9/12 Venom: Let There Be Carnage
Release Date: June 25 (US)
Venom sequel, directed by Andy Serkis, known for his performance capture roles comprising motion capture acting. Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which also stars Michelle Williams and Naomie Harris, will land in theaters on June 25, 2021.
10/12 Uncharted
Release Date: July 16 (US)
Uncharted movie is extracted from the most popular video game, Uncharted. Tom Holland is playing the lead role of Nathan Drake’s younger version.
11/12 The Suicide Squad
Release Date: August 6 (US), August 6 (UK)
James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is for the DCEU and is one of many big Warner Bros. movies released in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously in 2021. They said it is a 1970s war movie. I bet it’ll give us a funny and crazy ride thought-out the cinema.
12/12 Dune
Release Date: October 1 (US), October 1 (UK), October 1 (AU)
With an all-star cast of Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem, Dune takes us into the future, into a galactic conflict over a desert-coated planet called Arrakis, which is the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe – “the Spice.”
Dune is Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi novel called “Dune.”
More Biggest Movies (probably) coming in 2021
In addition to the above list, a few more biggest releases are expected to take place in 2021. Such as Marvel’s Eternals, Mission: Impossible 7, Spider-Man 3, and a few more. If there are no obstacles that cause delays, they may release on their expected dates.
